THE PROCESS:

The process entails components to be firstly degreased in BF716, followed by etching BF517 , and then immersion in both a surface conditioner BF451 and then blacking solution BF481. Corrosion protection is afforded by a final immersion in dewatering oil BF833. After which the components are left to air dry.

A typical line would be configured as below:

STEP 1

Blackfast 716 light alkaline degreaser
Dilution: 1part solution : 1 part water
Op. Temp: >15ºC
Immerse for 15 – 20 minutes

STEP 2

Water rinse
Immerse for 30 seconds

STEP 3

Blackfast 451 conditioner
Dilution: 1 part solution : 3 parts water
Op. Temp: >20ºC
Immerse for 40-60 seconds

STEP 4
